Conservation Lighting Design

The Social Fabric African Textiles Today is a travelling exhibition loaned by the British Museum. The exhibit illustrates how these fabrics reflect the fusion of African preferences with significant historical and commercial relationships worldwide. This exhibit provides an opportunity to witness the evolution of African textiles and appreciate their cultural significance.

An assortment of textiles are on display, such as wax patterns from Nigeria, indigo-dyed fabrics from Mali, and kente cloth from Ghana. Visitors can discover the cultural importance of each piece of textile, each of which has a unique story to connect with and explore.
