The winner of the Korean Cultural’s 2017 Open Call, Yeji Kim, presents her first-ever solo show in London, UK.

For this project, we assisted with the exhibition design layout, lighting installation, and focusing of the light fittings. Our independent exhibition lighting design consultancy implemented many art lighting upgrades for the Korean Cultural Centre in London.

This Open Call exhibition programme at the KCC UK provides upcoming artists of Korean origin a chance to showcase their creative artworks in the competitive London art world.

Yeji Kim, he KCC UK 2017 Open Call art competition winner, presents her first-ever solo show in London, UK. Her artwork is incredibly diverse, with many styles and on many altered mediums, as she explores a sense of the virtual world. Furthermore, she is motivated by the flatness of images found on social media.

Lighting Design for Art Galleries and Exhibitions

The exhibition was a visual feast, boasting a diverse collection of items that were beautifully showcased through stunning imagery. Our lighting design team was tasked with creating a custom lighting design scheme to accentuate and enhance the artwork on display. The carefully crafted lighting scheme drew praise from visitors who couldn’t help but marvel at the exceptional quality of the lighting in the art galleries.

We owe the success of this exhibition lighting design project to the Director and Exhibition Curator at the Korean Cultural Centre UK, who placed their trust and investment in our lighting design expertise. It is always a pleasure to provide the KCCUK with top-of-the-line lighting solutions, and this contemporary art project was no exception.

Our work folio showcases our latest exhibition lighting design projects, and we’ve also included additional supporting material for this exhibition lighting design UK project, including the Project Outline and Works in Progress.

Our designers spent countless hours perfecting the lighting design scheme for this exhibition. We took into account the unique characteristics of each artwork and carefully selected lighting fixtures to complement and highlight the artwork’s features. We also conducted several light test runs to ensure that the lighting scheme provided optimal illumination for the visitors’ viewing experience.

We are proud to have been a part of this exhibit and contributed to its success. We look forward to working with the KCCUK on future projects and continuing to deliver exceptional lighting solutions.
